What are your office hours?

Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Where are you located?

My office is at Tamarisk, 4501 Hixson Pike, Chattanooga, TN. Tamarisk is located at the intersection of Hamill Road and Hixson Pike between the Dupont Community Credit Union and The Gathering church. We’re about a 15-minute drive from downtown Chattanooga via Hixson Pike or Hwy 27 North. Do you take insurance?

Your health insurance plan may reimburse for my services as a “non-participating” (“out of network”) provider. However, there are many advantages to NOT using your insurance for my services. Ask me about this when you call. Even if you do not file your insurance, you can use your Health Savings Account or Flex Spending account to pay for my services. I am able to process credit cards and debit cards for this in the office.

If you want to file with your insurance company, it is important that you verify your benefits directly with your insurer before your first appointment. When you speak with your insurer, ask the following questions:

  • Does my health insurance plan cover mental health benefits?
  • How much does my plan cover per session for a non-participating (out-of-network) provider?
  • Does my plan reimburse for an “LPC” (Licensed Professional Counselor).
  • What is my deductible and has it been met yet?
  • How many sessions per calendar year does my plan cover?
  • Is prior authorization required before my first session? How do I obtain this?

Do you work with couples, families, or children?

No, not at this time. But, there are two other therapists in my office who work with couples, families, and adolescents. Contact me and I will give you their contact information.
